How Vermact Works to Treat Parasitic Infections?

Vermact 12, which contains ivermectin as its active ingredient, is an effective antiparasitic medication used to treat various infections caused by worms and parasites. It works by targeting the nervous system of the parasites. Ivermectin binds to specific chloride channels in the parasite’s nerve and muscle cells, increasing the flow of chloride ions. This action leads to paralysis of the parasite, preventing it from feeding, moving, or reproducing. Eventually, the immobilized parasites die and are cleared naturally from the body.

Vermact is commonly prescribed for conditions such as scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, and other intestinal worm infections. Unlike antibiotics, which fight bacteria, Vermact specifically acts on parasites without affecting human cells in the same way, making it safe and effective when used correctly.
